I am excited about the books I have to share with you today. I am equally excited about the ones I have picked out for next week. :)
Here they are:
Moons Kissed by Jennifer Snyder - 4 Stars ****

The clock is ticking, if she isn't Moon Kissed soon, she runs the risk of
becoming an outsider to her pack.

disappearance. There's only one person Mina can turn to for help. Too bad she
has a hard time trusting herself when she's around him...

"supernaturals" revealed their existence to humanity...

Liam Crown had it all once up a time.
A washed-up star detective with a penchant for "magic
tricks," Liam's life fell to pieces when an accident cost him his
family—and his sobriety. Now he scrapes by with a PI license and his late
father's used bookshop and spends most of his free time with a bottle in his
hand.
But when a chance encounter with a strange woman makes him
the target of a violent underground organization, Liam finds himself being
dragged out of his stagnant life and back into the danger zone he thought he'd
left forever.
And as the stakes begin to mount, Liam realizes that his old
self is slowly coming back to life in the face of battle.
Now all he has to do is survive the war.
Hereditary Magic by Emma L Adams - 3 Stars ***
In a world of magic, being non-magical can get you killed.
Ilsa Lynn has made it her life's goal to avoid the curse
that binds her family to serve the Summer Court of Faerie. With her magically
talented twin sister given the role of Gatekeeper, Ilsa is content to hide
under the radar among the regular humans.
At least until a mysterious spellbook falls into her
possession, granting Ilsa with a sudden and inconvenient affinity with the
dead, and dangerous magic that paints a neon target on her head. With her
family's questionable past quite literally refusing to stay buried, the last
thing Ilsa needs is an untrustworthy self-proclaimed faerie bodyguard, even if
he does come with a deadly skillset of his own.
Dealing with zombies and fae assassins would be difficult
enough on its own, but now someone's out to frame her for murder, too. While
dodging enemies at every corner, Ilsa must get a handle on her new powers
before the armies of Faerie invade Earth. She might just be in over her head...
Forgotten Gods by S T Branton - 3 Stars ***
The gods are real...and they’re assholes.
Thousands of years ago, ancient deities fought a civil war
that nearly destroyed the earth. They were defeated by a great warrior—and
banished to spend eternity beyond the reach of the humans who once served them.
Their war is raging once again.
And once again, it will require a great hero to save
humanity.
Unfortunately for humanity, I’m that hero.
My name is Vic Stratton. I’m no saint, but I’m the best
chance we’ve got at surviving the chaos about to be unleashed. But hey, at
least I have my good looks, a quick tongue, and the sword of the gods on my
side.
And I’m going to need it. Because when the gods return, all
hell will break loose.
Dead: Suffer the Children by T W Brown - 3 Stars ***
Evan has returned. After fighting his way back, he discovers
that his former encampment has been overrun in a brutal attack. Unsure of what
to do, he is eventually forced into action by an approaching herd of the undead
numbering in the thousands. It is then that he suffers more stings of betrayal
and once again encounters Don Evans.
Running for his life again, Evan decides to make a run for a
place he feels is suitable and safe. Along the way, he encounters more of the
dregs of humanity, a woman who seems like she was pulled from an action-hero
adventure, as well as survivors just looking for hope.
Through it all, he continues to encounter the "zombie
children" that act very different from the adult variety. Do they still
possess some sense of their humanity? Or are they simply just more dangerous?
There ya have it. I hope you are reading something wonderful.
As always, thank you for stopping by,
~Michelle
