My Week in Review: 12/16/17-12/24/17

I'm a little late posting - but it was Christmas!  :)  I hope you all had a wonderful time with your family and friends - we did.

Here are the books I want to share with you today:

Dead: End by T W Brown - 4 Stars ****

The journey has been a long one; and through its twists and turns, we have lost some dear friends. Who lives to see the next sunrise? There is only one way to find out.

From the Ashes by Amber Lynn Natusch - 4 Stars ****

Piper Jones can't catch a break.

After a lifetime of animosity and indifference from the supernatural community, she thought she'd finally found a home with the vampire king’s enforcers. Then the dark and mysterious Merc walks into her life, and it takes a disastrous turn for the worse.

Now under attack by enemies both known and unknown, Piper has little choice but to flee her refuge—and start over in a place few vampires ever go. Rural Alaska seemed to fit the bill, except for Knox and his crew of werewolves. The pack shares a connection with Piper that few of them can explain, and none of them can escape. With time running out for answers, Piper must fight the demons of her past to ensure her future—or die trying.

Magic Runes by Devyn Jayse - 4 Stars ****

Meet Carmen Rebello - Rune Witch, owner of the best magic store in Barcelona, and black sheep of her family.

When Carmen successfully removes a spell from a bewitched human, she never thought she would get ensnared in an ongoing Supernatural Bureau of Investigation case. Her life is already complicated by trying to stay hidden from her powerful family members, Carmen can't afford the attention of joining the investigation but the SBI insist on her involvement. Add an annoying (but hot) SBI agent and her life is getting more difficult by the day. Can she help the SBI without exposing her identity?

Magic Dude by Lee Hayton - 4 Stars ****

Tyler thought the only magic you could cook up in a trailer was meth. Turns out he was wrong.
When a stranger tosses a mysterious stone into Tyler's lap, he doesn't know what’s hit him. The rock is the sole source of magic in the known universe. That'd be awesome if he knew how the hell it worked.

Soon, hordes of evildoers are hot on his heels, seeking the rock’s power at any cost. Suffering from stone-enforced sobriety, Tyler would offload the damn thing if he could. But he can only gift the stone to someone of magical lineage. A gene pool contaminated by miscreants, troublemakers, and fools—and those are just the good guys.

With the help of a warthog and a ten-year-old girl, Tyler must battle against the circling forces of evil. If he can't return the stone to its rightful owner, it might cost him his life, destroy his friends, and (possibly) end the world.

I really enjoyed these books.  I hope you are reading something wonderful!

Thanks for stopping by,
Michelle
